Do you know this feeling, it’s a cool day, you are out for a pleasant stroll before you will go to a social event, but now you start feeling the sweat dripping down your sides. It’s awful isn’t it?

Excessive sweating affects about 3% of the population. Sometimes referred to as hyperhydrosis, it is one of the most common conditions today and a major problem for a large chunk of people.

Luckily, there are things you can do to Stop Sweating or at least reduce it. So read on to learn how to sweat less.

First thing I will mention is to drink a ton of water! Maybe you find this illogical, but you actually need to drink more water in order to sweat less.

Try to imagine your body as a high octane race car, to keep cool, it needs a supply of oil to exchange heat. If it starts to run low on oil, the temperature will rise. Well, if you are low on water, your body temperature will rise, just like the car’s, this in turn triggers the sweat response. So, to avoid that uncomfortable wet sensation under your arms, keep hydrated!

You know what else you can do? Stay in shape! A lot of people don’t want to hear this, however, staying in shape is a great, healthy way to make you sweat less. A body in tip top condition, has an easier time of keeping cool because of increased blood circulation (again you might want to think of the quality race car!). Your time exercising will be best spent on cardio!

Magnesium and Vitamin B are your friends! Magnesium is crucial, as it plays a vital role in detoxifying the body. When poison levels are too high, your body uses your sweat to detox itself. More magnesium will therefore reduce the amount you sweat, as it will detox your body instead of your body having to detox itself! Vitamin B is amazing at making all your internal functions run smoothly, allowing for a more efficient internal cooling.

Additional dietary advice is to avoid complicated carbohydrates, since your body has to put in a lot of work to break these down. Consider to obtain your carbohydrate needs through things like cereal and bread.

Finally, try to cut down on your coffee. After a few days of not drinking caffeine and getting it out of the system, people tend to notice a huge difference in the amount they sweat.

A lot of people try to stop armpit sweat by the use of antiperspirants and deodorants, this, however, should be done with care.  Antiperspirants does not treat any condition, they just block the pores with the use of various chemicals. Many health care professionals believe this to be bad for your health. Deodorants use scents to cover up the unpleasant odor and is generally considered to be healthier, but should still be done with care, especially for people with allergies.

If nothing you do on your own helps you to sweat less, you should consider consulting your doctor. Do not give up, as there are effective medical treatments to stop excessive sweating available.
